In addition, there are others such as the two library committees, the workshop, scholarship and in-house TV committees, which are chaired by non-Council members, but which report to the Council on either a regular or periodic basis.
The Residents Association was formed to promote the best interests of the residents of the apartments and garden homes, La Joya and La Hacienda. Its function is to act as liaison between management and the residents and as an advisory body to management. The Association is governed by a Council of 12 elected residents, each of whom serves for two years and can be reelected for an additional two years. The Association as a whole meets once a year in January. The Council meets monthly to hear reports of the committees and to get feedback from management.
